ChatGPT will appear in cars

The chatbot will be able to be activated via the voice prompt “Hi IDA” or via pressing a dedicated button on the steering wheel. ChatGPT support will be available in all current cars in the series, including the Tiguan, Passat and Golf, as well as electric cars in the ID range. The feature will be available in Europe, and then it will come to the US. Volkswagen promised that OpeAI will not access driving statistics.

In late December, executives at German carmaker Volkswagen said they would replace touch-sensitive buttons in cars with physical buttons due to driver dissatisfaction. According to the interior designer of the corporation Darius Vatola, all new cars of the brand will comply with such a design code.
